私はニキ・ド・サンファル (1930
- 2002) が大好きで、
いそいそと展覧会に出かけました。
2011年に閉館されたのを知り、ショック！
個展『Coonie's
Dragon』を開きました。
そのとき、ニキ美術館 ：★ に行き、このアーティトを知ったのです。
初めて彼女の作品を見た時に、舞い上がりすぎて、
小走り状態になり、頭から床に転んでしまいました。
頬を冷たい床につけながら、我が身におこったことを反芻し、
自分の愚かさを笑いました。

I
love Niki
de Saint Phalle (1930 - 2002),
so
I visited with a light heart.
However,
in the exhibition I found out that
the Niki
Museum in Nasu, Tochigi
Prefecture was closed in 2011
and
I was shocked.
I
had my exhibition 『Coonie's
Dragon』
in
the Hotel Daikokuya, Nasushiobara,
2002
and
at that time I did not know of Niki
de Saint Phalle.
I
visited the Museum and it was the first time I saw her works.
I
was immediately excited, in fact too excited and as I looked at
the works,
I ran
with short steps and fell to the floor.
While
my cheek was on the cold floor I ruminated on what I had done to
myself
and I
laughed at my foolishness.
Since
that visit to the Museum I have wanted to visit
About
Niki de Saint Phalle→★the "Tarot Garden" / "Giardinodei Tarocchi" in Tuscany, Italy, which has many huge works, although I haven't made it yet. |

反対の面を撮影するのをすっかり忘れました。
それはここで見られます→★
なんとなく、ちょっとニキ・ド・サンファルとは違うな〜と思い、
でも、彼女の作品のどこかの部分を引き伸ばしてこのバルーンにのせたのだろうと
思っていましたが、違いました。
これはニキ・ド・サンファルの作品ではありません。
デザイン募集があり、応募数171点のうち河原あさこさん (7歳) が選ばれました。

Somehow
I felt this a little strange as a Niki
de Saint Phalle work -
although
the design came from somewhere in her work and
then
they made it bigger and put on the balloon, however, it was wrong.
This
is not Niki
de Saint Phalle's work.
They invited
the public to compete in a prize contest for the best balloon design.

会場入り口
ニキ美術館を懐かしく思いつつ(★)、今回のニキ・ド・サンファル展を見ました。 ニキ・ド・サンファルを有名にしたのはシューティング作品 (射撃絵画 : ★) です。 2015年の夏、テイト・モダンに行ったときも、展示がしてありました。 私が好きなのは、蛇やドラゴンやエジプトの神々をモチーフにした作品です。
人間の持っている明暗な部分が朗らかに表現されている作品が好きです。
初期の作品は、私にはストレートすぎます。
Exhibition Entrance While I missed the Niki Museum (★), I looked at the Exhibition. Niki became well known by her shooting works : ★. Some of these works were displayed in Tate Modern when I visited there the Summer, 2015. However, my favourite works used snakes, dragons and Egyptian Gods as motives.
I love her works which brightly depict human's light and dark sides.
Her earlier works are too straight for me.

| ブッダ, 1999 317,5 X 218,4 X 172,7cm ニキ美術館は、もっと自由に撮影できていたような気がしますが、 この展覧会は撮影禁止でした。上と下のところだけ撮影OKでした。 テイトモダンのニキ・ド・サンファル展で 彼女の作品が見られます→★ : Youtube ブッダは、1998年にニキが初めて日本を訪れ、京都で仏像彫刻を見て 刺激され、ニキ美術館のために制作されたものです。 彼女がシューティング作品を制作した背景には 父親から陵辱された経験があります。 男性性の暴力に打ち勝つには、武器を用いて実際の標的代わりに作品を狙います。 それは同時に自分の闇の部分を消そうとする行為に思えます。 その結果生み出されたのが、シューティング作品だと私は理解しています。
シューティングの時代からこのブッダ制作するまでの彼女の人生を思うと
どんなにいろいろなことがあったかと思います。違った国々の神や仏を作品に取り入れる行為には、 癒しを求め続ける彼女の姿を感じます。 Buddha, 1999

My memory is that the Niki Museum let us photograph freely, although here no photographs were allowed in the Exhibition, except of the works Above and Below. You can see her works here →★ : youtube ; her exhibition in Tate Modern The first time Niki visited Japan in 1998, she was inspired by wooden Buddhist statues in Kyoto temples and then she made this for the Niki Museum. The background to her shooting works was her experiences of when her father assaulted her. I think she wanted to overcome the violence of masculinity by weapons, so she shot at her works instead of the real target, as well as she wanted to delete her dark part. I can understand that her shooting works were the result. If I consider her life from the time of the Shooting to the time of the Buddha, she must have had many experiences. I feel she continually desired to heal by her approaches in part of which she adopted a few Gods or Buddha of different countries.  翼を広げたフクロウの椅子 / Winged Owl Chair, 1999 176 X 132 X 84cm |
