2010年4月5~10日英国からの本帰国後初の個展：

“クーニーの白い魔法；ホワイトゴールド、海を越えて”
“Coonie's White Magic; White Gold Overseas"

下記：個展DMから：

"White Gold":「白い黄金」とは磁器のこと。

16世紀頃ヨーロッパでそう呼ばれ、”磁器は、東洋の神秘的魔術と

考えられていた”という説明もあります。

ファンタジーの国：英国で、私は東洋の魔術にかかってしまいました。

会場では磁器とドローイングを展示します。

Coonieの白い魔法：White Magicにかかりにいらしてみませんか？

Translation of direct mail post-card :

In the 16th century, Europeans called porcelain “White Gold.”

A possible explanation is that “European thought porcelain is
 ‘the magic of the East’.”

It is interesting that ‘the magic of the East’ cast a spell upon me
 when I was in Britain.

For me, the country is the origin of the fantasy worlds.　

I hope that my work becomes a part of ‘the magic of the East,’ 
gives people enjoyment, happiness and stimulates people’s imaginations.　

I will show people my porcelain work with my drawings.

桜の光

バースの桜の思い出(写真）と日本で経験した桜ふぶきが

このドローングの土台になっています。

バースの桜の花びらが比較的ピンクなのに比べて、

日本の桜は白いな〜と帰国後思いました。

Cherry Light

This drawing was inspired by my memories of cherry trees 

in Bath in England and cherry petals falling like confetti in Japan.

 I think Bath's cherry petals were quite pink compared to Japanese cherry petals. 

I only realised the contrast after I came back to Japan.
