新宿、伊勢丹ギャラリー へ行きました。

坪内好子 (1966 -) さんとは、北鎌倉の"La PEKNIKOVA"で知り合いました。

坪内さんと彼女の旦那様はこのレストランを経営していて、

私とRの好きなお店です。旦那様がシェフです。

先日Rの誕生日に行き、そこで彼女の個展を知ったのです。

レストランの看板やメニューは彼女の手によるものだと思っています。

彼女がアーティストであると知る前に、これらが素敵だな〜と思っていましたし、

ここの庭は私の好きな苔丸さんの仕事でもあり、

私の好みに共通するものがあると感じていました。

I went to Isetan Gallery, Shinjuku in Tokyo.

In a restaurant "La PEKNIKOVA", Kitakamakura, I met Yoshiko Tubouchi (1966 -).

She and her husband manage the restaurant, he is a chef, and I & R like there.

A few days before, we visited there for R's birthday and then I knew of her exhibition for which she gave us a leaflet.

I believe the restaurant's menu and sign are her designs. 

I had felt these are lovely before she is an artist.

Also their garden is by Kokemaru, which is one of my favourite shops, 

so I feel my taste is common with them.

今回、初めて彼女の個展に伺い、彼女の世界がとても好きな世界であると感じました。

ファンタジーの世界なんですよね。

古い地図や帆のある船、古い地球儀、汽車、石造りの橋、そしてゴールド！

この個展前に行った山種美術館も企画展の趣旨がゴールドだったのです。

ゴールドは以前より陶芸で使用していましたが、最近のリトグラフ作品にも使い

始めています。

なので、リンクを感じました。

作品は主に銅版画、ガラス絵も少しありました。

アンティーク風でありつつ彼女の個性があること、アンティーク風のタッチと世界を維持しつつ、少しずつ新しいものを組み込んで行く真摯な姿勢があるのを感じました。

また物語性がある絵であり、絵を見ているとその世界が見る側の内面で広がってゆきます。

とても好意を感じる作品群でした。

ガラス絵(その技法)は、アンティークなイメージが私にはあるので、彼女がそれを始めた理由がわかるような気がしました。

彼女の作品を購入できるほどの財力が私にはなく、見るだけでしたが、いつか、

買いたいな〜と思いました。

It was the first time I visited one of her exhibitions and I feel I like her world very much.

The world is a fantasy world, isn't it?

There are old maps, sailing ships, old globes, steam trains, bridges made of stone and Gold!

Before this exhibition, I had visited Yamatane Museum of Art and the main theme of their special exhibition was Gold, too.

I have used Gold for my ceramics works and nowadays I started using Gold for my lithograph works.

So I felt the link.

There were mainly copperplate prints and some pictures on glass.

I felt the works are antique in style, although they do show her individuality.

While she continues in the same style and world, she tries to add new things, this is a sincere attitude.

Moreover, the pictures seem to have stories, while I looked at the picture, the world spread in my imagination.

Therefore the works are my favourite. 

A glass picture gives me antique image, so I feel I understand why she started the picture.

I do not have financial ability to buy her work, although I would buy one day!
