| 昨年ギャラリーの下見をしに来たときに、この家具の中に 小さな磁器作品を飾りたいと思いました。 When I visited the gallery about my exhibition last year I thought I would use this display unit for small porcelain works. |
食器のディスプレイは、ギャラリーオーナーのWさんにおまかせしました。
小さなお皿もガラス付きの家具に入れることは私の意志でしたが、どのようなお皿をそこに並べるかはWさんにしていただきました。
個展期間中、Wさんのディスプレイに感動することがたびたびあり、多くのことを学ばせていただき、感謝してます。
I trusted the gallery owner, W San with the display of table-ware.
The small plates were in the glass case by my opinion, however they were arranged in the drawer by her.
During my exhibition, I often was impressed by her displays, I learnt many things from her and I acknowledge her good sense.

| 主に"繖華 (キヌガサバナ) " シリーズの小皿を入れました。 引き出しになっているので、来場者は手にとって見ることができます。 Most of the small plates were "Kinugasabana : Parasol Flowers" Series. They were in a drawer, so visitors could take them out and look at them in their hand. |

"Kinugasabana : Parasol Flowers"
"繖華 (キヌガサバナ) "という華(花)は、実際にはありません。
私が自分の作品のために作った造語です。
セリ(芹)科の花序 (花の配列) は、'散形花序 (下記画像) / サンケイカジョ' と呼ばれるもので、もともとは'繖形花序'と書き、'繖'は、唐傘を表す漢字でした。
(散形 / 繖形 / 傘形 / サンケイ）

その漢字に華をつけて、このシリーズのタイトルにしました。

"Kinugasabana : Parasol Flowers"
These are my invented names "Kinugasabana: Parasol Flowers".
I drew the flower type : Aplaceae ; 'Water Dropwort', its inflorescence is Umbel (above and below pictures).
Umbel in Japanese characters ( Kanji) '散形花序 / sankei-kajo' and the original kanji of 散 / san was 繖 / san or Kinugasa which means Karakasa / 唐傘: Oil Paper Umbrella.
The Kanji used to mean 'Umbrella : Parasol'.
Then I added '華 : hana / bana' meaning flower and then I made the title : "Kinugasabana : Parasol Flowers".

| 私が作った空間を楽しんでいった記念に買っていただけたら という思いで食器類は作っています。 その食器を見るときに、ここの空間を思い出してくれたらな〜 という願いもあります。 I thought visitors enjoyed the spaces which I made and then they bought table-ware for their memory. And also I hope that when they look at the table-ware they are reminded of the space and they enjoy in their imagination. |

| 青色ガラス釉 透明釉と'青色ガラス釉'を今回の個展では使用しました。 釉薬は基本的には自分で作ります。 が、'青色ガラス釉'は市販のもの。 以前から好きで使用していた釉薬でしたが、個展作品に使用したのは初めてです。 Blue Glass Glaze I used transparent glaze and 'Blue Glass Glaze'. Basically I make glazes myself. However, 'Blue Glass Glaze' is a commercial glaze. I like the glaze and have used it before, although this was the first time I used it in my exhibited work. |

| 実はこれも"繖華 (キヌガサバナ) " シリーズのお皿です。 釉薬の前に磁器土を使用し、スリップの技法で "繖華" が描かれています。 釉薬を施した後は、ほとんど何が描かれているのかわかりません。 でも、それでも良いのです。自己満足です！ Actually this is one of "Kinugasabana" Series. Before the glaze, I used a porcelain slip and drew "Kinugasabana". After the glaze we can hardly see the flowers. However, it is alright and I am still satisfied ! |

| 小さなオブジェを華皿に置くWさんのセンスが好きです。 I like W San's sense, putting a small objet on a flower plate. |

| 水は私の発想の元にあります。 今回は水のイメージを結構全面に出しました。 ボウルの形を作ったのも、この釉薬が底にたまって 湖や海を連想してもらえたらいいな〜と思ったからです。 Water is at the foundation of my ideas. In this exhibition, I emphasized the image of water. I made bowls because I hoped the glaze would flow to the bottom and then people could associate with a lake or sea. DSC02839.jpg) |

| 素敵なテーブルが 'ものおき' として使用してしまわれ、 かわいそうな状態になってしまっていました。 便利で、そう使用してしまっていたのは、私とRなのですけれど..... Wさんは、ここをシンプルなお皿を飾るコーナーに! This lovely desk was used for bags and others, I felt 'poor table'. I and R used it like that because there was handy. W San changed there, displaying simple plates. DSC03299.jpg) 個展にかかわる人が自由に何かできる場所があるというのは、 いいな〜と思いました。 Here, W San, me and R changed this display as we liked. I felt it was good that the exhibition has a place in which all people connected with the exhibition could do something. |
5) 屋外 / Outside
このコーナーの磁器は、ヒビが入ってしまった食器やディスプレイ用として制作したものを展示しました。
このコーナーがとても好評!
Some pieces were made only for display and others have cracks so could not be table-ware, they were displayed in this corner.

| 人気のお皿 ヒビが入ってしまったので、ディスプレイとして使用していました。 多くの方がこれを！と望まれたので、 食器としては使用できないことを説明しました。 結局、磁器とリトグラフ作品 (フロウ/ Flow シリーズ) をお買い上げた方が、 ヒビがはいっていても構わないとおっしゃって、 最終日まで待てるとも言われるので、その方のもとにもらわれて行きました。 Popular Plate The plate has a crack so I use this only for display. Many people would buy it and then I explained it does not suit as table-ware. Eventually a visitor bought one "Flow" series picture : porcelain on lithograph, who does not mind the crack and could wait until the last day, this plate went to the visitor. |
